Announcement Of Youtube Premium Price Hike 

Announced on October 20, 2022, Youtube started informing all the Youtube Premium members about the price hike through email. The image below is shared by one of the users of Youtube Premium. 

The revised monthly price will come into force from November 21, 2022. The new users will subscribe to the Youtube Premium service according to the latest price change whereas the current members will see the price change from their next billing cycle.

With the Youtube Premium family plan, you can add up to 5 members of your family who are above the age of 13.

If you want to subscribe individually you can choose a Youtube individual subscription plan at a much lower cost. Youtube has a special student subscription plan in which you need to verify your status as a student once a year and you can avail of the cheapest subscription. Youtube Premium Lite is another service that is only accessible in a few countries.

It first came to notice when a few Canada-based users posted screenshots of the email on Youtube on Twitter. The thread was then followed by many users from the US and other parts of the world. Later, Youtube officially announced the revised Premium charges which will come into action from November 21, 2022.
