Without further talking, let’s get started with the easy methods we have got for you to solve the error “SIM not provisioned” for both Android and iPhone users. 

For Android

Enable Airplane mode 

  • Swipe below from the top of your device.
  • Tap on the Airplane icon to turn on the Airplane mode.
Tap on Airplane Mode.
  • After 5-7 seconds, turn Airplane mode on and see if the SIM issue has been resolved now.

Clean SIM card and SIM slot

If your SIM is still not getting activated and continuing to show the error “SIM not provisioned”, you can try to take a soft cloth and clean the SIM and the slot. Just in case there’s some dust on the chip or the slot which is causing problems physically in the activation process.

Restart Phone

  • Long press the power button of your device and tap on reboot or restart.

  • After the restart is done, check if the SIM has been activated.

Update Carrier Settings

  • Go to Settings > Apps and Notifications.

  • Select See All Apps.

If none of the methods mentioned above work, you have one last card to play, that is, to contact your network provider. They might be able to look into this issue and help you out. As it is possible for this to be a problem from the network carrier’s side.

For iPhone

Restart Phone

  • Hold and press your Lock button for 2-3 seconds and slide off the bar.

  • Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open the control centre.

Update Carrier Settings

Make sure your SIM card is clean and doesn’t have any dirt or dust on it. Also, check that your SIM slot is clean, not rust from the inside, or unclean.

In case none of the methods mentioned above came to your help, we still have one last resort for you to try – contacting your network provider. Since it is possible for your network provider to might not have activated your SIM card or registered it.
